On the MSC Web site, you will be able to create and print a FIRMette. A FIRMette is a full-scale section of a DFIRM that you create yourself online by selecting the desired area from an image of the DFIRM. For assistance creating a FIRMette, the MSC has an online tutorial available.

The DFIRM for Hancock County, Mississippi and Incorporated Areas Hancock becomes effective on October 16, 2009. The October 16 DFIRM is effective for NFIP floodplain management and flood insurance rating purposes. The technique covered by the tutorial also can be used to create a FIRMette version of the newly effective DFIRM for Hancock County.
